We put our sole focus on creating "Forever Homes" of long-term value in the international award-winning Hampstead community. We are Hampstead’s largest homebuilder - with over 200 new homes built to date in Hampstead alone - and take pride in the detail and commitment we’ve invested in Hampstead over 17 years.

Founded and led by Anna Lowder, HBC crafts elegant homes that reflect the lifestyles of our homeowners. Utilizing intelligent design, quality materials, and experienced craftspeople, we create homes to be enjoyed for generations.

From site planning to architectural and interior design, HBC is a multi-disciplinary real estate development firm creating projects comprising residential, commercial, civic and community uses focused on mixed-use, pedestrian-oriented communities.

Beyond residential homes, our projects include Hampstead, The Montessori School at Hampstead Campus, Hampstead Farm, The Tipping Point, and more.

    PRINCIPAL

    Envisioning a traditional community like Hampstead was a challenge; implementing it was even more so. Combine this with being a female in the construction industry in the South, and you understand the dedication Anna has for Hampstead.

    She established HBC as an opportunity to create environments that foster friendships, memories, and family. She guides the HBC projects, schedules, and manages the company sales. Combined with her experience developing mixed-use developments, custom homes, lofts, retail, restaurants, and third places, the thrill of creating a new project never grows old. Attention to detail and focus on superior results are the center of her team's work.

  • Brooke Johns

    ARCHITECTURAL & INTERIOR DESIGN

    Brooke creates a flawless design process for our clients. Her experience in interior design and construction project management has equipped her with a well-rounded view of home building. Brooke guides our home buyers through the selections process, creating a unique home for each and every client on any budget. Her desire is to serve our home buyers by maintaining organization throughout the project, and communicating the design and building process to give clients clarity and assurance. Brooke has a degree in Interior Design from the University of Alabama, and lives right here in Hampstead.

  • Ronnie Poole

    DIRECTOR OF FIELD OPERATIONS

    Ronnie is a seasoned veteran within the residential and commercial construction fields. Throughout a career spanning more than four decades, Ronnie has worked throughout the Southeast overseeing custom residential construction, large multi-family developments, commercial projects including lifestyle centers and malls, and mixed-use developments. Ronnie brings his experience building in Rosemary Beach, Florida, Atlanta and further afield to Hampstead.

    Ronnie helps oversee the daily operations of Mercer Home, focusing on quality control, company standards, and home buyer experience. Ronnie lives in Hampstead and is an active member of First United Methodist Church.

  • Coleman Brewster

    DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION

    Coleman brings decades of construction experience with a diverse background ranging from entrepreneurial construction business owner to commercial and residential contractor. His varied knowledge of construction is evident to our home buyers. Coleman oversees the commercial contracting division of HBC.

  • Tim Berryhill

    SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT

    Tim oversees the home construction process from project beginning, working closely our trusted trade subcontractors to ensure a timely start and scheduling of residential projects. Tim’s decades of commercial construction experience contribute to the depth of the HBC team. His team player attitude is evident and contributes to an exceptional work environment.

    DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS

    Mike honed his business and management skills through years of experience in high level academic institutions. His focus on systems, details, research, and efficiency brings a wealth of knowledge to HBC. Mike’s friendly and sincere personality means trade partners know what this company says is what we mean. He enjoys travel above all else, and has an impeccable knowledge of languages, culture, food, and sports.
